The Ocean Post

It is a folly to derive inspiration from the ocean; from its relentlessness; from its manner of eroding monoliths one cannot imagine to be affected by fluidity; their mighty presence being forced to bow down before the simple strength of persistence. And the little grains of sand thus born being in the likeness of the ocean: fluid; the rigid rocks giving way to be like the ocean. Giving way reluctantly, but succumbing nonetheless. It being the ocean’s obsession – high ground. And it prodding endlessly at it, with finesse, not usurping it with might, but caressing it into compliance till the hardened, once far away from its calm and reach, yielding, lies etched and broken, into an infusing conformance. It having the ways of an obstinate man; a lover of his dreams.
But a folly.
